Quilting With Friends Premier Retreat

This winter the ladies from ourGuild were invited to join other quilters from the north in a quilt retreat and workshop
The workshop was Chop-A-Block
by Marie Minaudier from St. Claude, Manitoba
Seven ladies from our guild joined Twenty one ladies from Flin Flon, Cranberry Portage, Wanless, and The Pas.
We all arrived Friday afternoon in time for our evening meal.  The sewing machines were set up and the sewing began.
We sewed late into the evening on both Friday and Saturday.

There was a lot of visiting, exchanging stories and ideas, and a large Show and Tell on Saturday evening.
Bakers Narrows lodge cooked meals and snacks, and we ate and ate, sewed and visited some more.
Until Sunday after lunch we packed up our machines and projects, but not before one last show and
tell outside of the lodge.

And while we were enjoying our weekend, mother nature was creating her own palette of colour and interest.
The sun rose on saturday morning to a lake almost thawed.
The Ducks and Loons were quacking, calling, and pairing up.
The frogs were singing.

And the Crocus Flowers are coming up.
Hooray, Spring has arrived in the north.

Happy Quilting!
and Happy Spring!!
Sandra
