Meeting Notice for January 15

Our next guild meeting will be Tuesday January 15th. We are at the church from 9AM to 9PM, with the business meeting starting at 7PM. Hope to see you there for all or some of the day.

This is a photo of our square in square quilt, finished over Christmas by Marg H. We have found a home for it already. It is going to a young woman who is just starting out on her own. More details will be available at the meeting. It really is a nice cheerful quilt.

We are also looking for more Maple Leaf blocks for our Quilt of Comfort and Remembrance for 2008. We would appreciate any blocks we can get in the months of January and February.
Here is a link to the pattern. If you are using the fusible web leaf, please consider downsizing the leaf about 2% so the points of the leaf fit to the seam, and not sewn into the seam. Iwill drop some of these adjusted patterns off at Faktors by Wednesday afternoon. If you are doing the pieced pattern, the link can be found here: http://ccrquilts.ca/downloadablock.htm
Our 2007 Maple leaf quilt went to the family of Corporal Jordan Anderson. Information on this young man is available here: http://www.herofund.ca/?cat=70
Happy Quilting!
