The Guild will be meeting at the United Church on Tuesday April 17. We will be at the church from 9AM to 9PM. Business meeting starts at 7PM sharp. Don't forget your square in a square blocks.
For the afternoon we will be assembling the Christmas nine patch blocks. We will be setting them on point, so if you are interested in this process please come out. We will probably find some other projects to keep us busy for the full day.
The evening program for Tuesday is basting. We will be basting a quilt on the frame, as well as pin basting on the table. Good basting is very important as it makes the quilting process so much easier. We will need many hands for the basting, so please don't leave after the show and tell. I know many of our members do not stay for the program, but instead leave right after the show and tell. There is always something new to learn in the program. I have been quilting for quite a few years, but there is seldom a program where I don't learn something new, even if it is not necessarily about the program. It is also another opportunity to enjoy the fellowship of your fellow quilters.
The two Rae's and Lorna sent a photo of their March shopping expedition to a beautiful quilt shop on Salt Spring Island, B.C. I see they all made a small purchase.
Hope to see you all on Tuesday. Happy Quilting!
