22 members turned out for our meeting. The church was busy all with a funeral and funeral
luncheon, therefore, we only had an evening meeting.
Rolling Ray of Sunshine
will tentatively be in Flin Flon on August 24 and 25. Their location is not known, but look for a large truck and trailer with painted sides.
Swan River has a
new fabric store location. Look
for it on highway 83 on the way to Benito located in an old white church. Check
it out at fabriculous.com.
Below is the fabric squares sewn together as the first step in making the
Twister quilt at the next meeting.
Michelle from
Mami’s Quilt Shop will be sending kits for the Sept. retreat with Val D on
the weekend of Sept. 8th so that everyone can preview the fabrics to
see if any changes are needed.
Kathy will contact those taking part to pick up their kits and a list of
any other supplies needed.
Everyone will supply their own meals for Friday. Plans for Saturday will be finalized
later. Saturday Oct. 20,
2012 6 Hour Quilt needs donations of 6 inch strips of fabric and 6 ½ inch
strips of batting to be used along with guild fabrics to construct quilts. Check out the project planned by googling
